William Lohr

Public Ally

William Lohr comes to the After-School All-Stars Chicago team by way of Public Allies, an organization that develops young leaders in preparation for careers in the non-profit and community development fields. He currently assists with After-School All-Stars’ “Semester of Service” initiative, supporting after-school programs in their execution of service-learning projects.

A recent transplant to Chicago, William grew up in Ohio where he worked with several after-school programs in the public school system and non-profit world. He received a degree from Miami University of Ohio where he majored in Urban Planning and Sociology. In Cincinnati, OH, he coordinated large-scale service-learning projects around the theme of urban gardening and sustainable living.

Christine Koh

Public Ally

Christine Koh was born and raised in suburban Chicago and now proudly considers herself a resident of the city. She received a B.A. in Comparative Literature and International Relations from Smith College in Northampton, MA. Last academic year, she worked at a public high school in Southern Spain to develop a bilingual curriculum in non-linguistic subjects.

As a Public Ally, Christine hopes to apply her past experience working in public schools and nonprofit organizations to her work at CPS After-School All-Stars. She will be working on the upcoming Semester of Service projects, while also assisting with website maintenance.
